Where is this ride taking me and do I really want to go there?

so much to say

The past few weeks have been a little crazy. I messed up things with Matt, I know it was my fault but I tried to fix it and it didn't work.

Liz left for Buffalo, and right before she did we went and got our hair cut. Mine is just 3 inches shorter and it finally starting to look good.

Mom, Grandma, Noel and Myrna arrived with no problems. I had a really nice time showing them around. The whole group including Scott and Marci went to Annapolis for Mother's day and we took a really nice harbor cruise. I got a sunburn while we were out but it faded to a nice tan.

On Wednesday Mom, Grandma, Noel and Myrna took the train to New York and I was going to join them on Friday so I could take care of things at school. *side note I got all of my grades and I had an two A two A- and a B* At about 1 pm on Wednesday I got a strange phone call from Mom about needing Noel’s cell phone number because something was wrong.

She called back around 2 and told me that Grandma had fallen and was going to the emergency room. We determined that it would be best if I went up that day. So I bought a ticket for the Chinatown bus and arrived in NYC at 9:30 pm. Myrna told me to take a cab to the hospital so I did. She was at the Lenox Hill hospital emergency room. Grandma had broken her left hip. At a little after 1 am Mom and I went to the hotel to get some sleep. We went back to the hospital the next morning and Grandma had finally been moved to a regular room. She had a partial hip replacement late Thursday night.

The surgeon said that she was in amazing shape for someone who is 87. That is because she walks 2-3 miles a day and works out at curves 3 times a week. On Friday she was already sitting in a chair and could walk with a walker. She made me promise to make Mom do fun things. So we went to the Statue of Liberty where I got a nasty burn on a hand dryer in the bathroom. We also saw the Empire State Building, Times Square, Central Park and Soho. Mom, Noel and Myrna also went to see Beauty and the Beast and said it was really good.

I went to see Skidmore Fountain and it was so much fun to surprise the boys. Unfortunately I had too much to drink and I spent Sunday with a horrible hangover.

On Monday Grandma was able to fly back to Oregon and she is doing really well now.
