scatterbrained

Where is this ride taking me and do I really want to go there?

20 January 2005

how much excitement can a girl handle?

Now that my temperature is back below 100 I have enough energy to post. I have been suffering from bronchitis/walking pneumonia for the past couple of days. I've only left my building twice since Tuesday afternoon. But, today I finally feel human again.

I'll start with the NYC trip. Liz and I left DC at 1 pm on Saturday and got there around 4:30. We went to Little Italy and had dessert then dinner, the tortellini alfredo was incredible! THen we went to Times Square and got some popcorn, we went to Soho but all the shops were closing when we got there. So we decided to head to the C-Note for the Skidmore Fountain show. We were at the intersection looking for the place and ran into Randy and Steve who showed us where to go. The show was really good, and the band after them wasn't so good but they had free food so it was ok. We had an adventurous trip to Topu's in the wonderful van Herbie. Topu's new apartment is so much nicer than his last. We had to catch our bus at 11 so we grabbed some food and got a little turned around and almost missed the bus, but we finally made it back to school.

Right when I returned from the break I had an interview at the Library & Information Science Library (LISL). And I was waiting to hear about that before I put myself down for hours at the yarn shop. I asked Julie about the LISL job, she works there, and she said it had been filled then I got sick and didn't go to the yarn store. Yesterday after my afternoon class had been cancelled due to snow Anne Marie called me and wants me to work at LISL!!!! It is so much better because I don't have to take Metro to get there, it pays better, and it is in my field. I am sad to leave the yarn store, but this will be better.
